Summer in Chamonix is heating up, with the weather being perfect for mountain biking, hiking, climbing or even just a spot of sunbathing. Here are some events this month definitely worth checking out!
Chambre Neuf will be having a BBQ on their outside terrace every Saturday from 12:00-16:00. You can eat great food and relax to reggae tunes for 19€ per person.
Have some outdoor family fun on the 10th June with the Pelerins Village Fete. Located at the Pelerins football field from 15:00, everyone is welcome to come and enjoy football and badminton tournaments, BBQ, pony rides, face painting, balloon shaping and a lot more games.
The 10th of June is also National Rosé Day! So why not treat yourself to some pink ‘vino’ at Cha’Cha’Cha on Avenue Ravanel le Rouge in Chamonix.
The 10th June is a busy day as TEDxChamonix will be hosting its first event in Chamonix. The theme for the talks is “Breakthrough”. The event will host an array of experts from various fields including climate experts, extreme athletes and statisticians. Live performances and videos at the EDMI on Rue de Lyret in Chamonix. The Chamonix Market is held every Saturday (from 8am until around 1330) at Place Mont Blanc. You will find the best local produce including bread, cheese, fruits, vegetables, cured meats and classic vin chaud!
If you are heading up the valley to do some hiking you can stop by at the Vallorcine Market in the centre of Vallorcine from 7:30-12:30, every Saturday.
Painter Marie-Pierre Maurer‘s art exhibition will have it’s grand opening on Monday, 12th June at the Albert Premier Hotel. If you cannot make the opening, the exhibition will be running until the 15th October.
