The Chamonix Valley is nestled between the beautiful mountains of the Mont Blanc range which can be easily accessed by cable car and chair lift.
Summer is now in full swing here with the recent heat wave warming up France and along with it, most of Europe! Temperatures have reached over 30 degrees consistently in the past week in Chamonix.
When its too hot in town, its great to take a lift up to cool off high in the mountains, near the glaciers and lakes. Daily lift passes can be purchased from the Compagnie du Mont Blanc website or at the liftstations.
