Here at Insted we are enjoying our first week with our summer Overland students and leaders! Despite some rainy weather the students have already had great days out and about in Chamonix.
On Monday the students, with their leaders, met our teacher’s Karine and Emlilie at the school. Each student then had a brief chat with the teachers to determine their current level of French and then began on their journey of discovery of the French language! The intermediate and beginner groups are both off to a great start.
On Tuesday afternoon, the students and teachers went into Chamonix centre to have a quiz/rally with all things Chamonix related! The students had to ask questions about various aspects of the area (in French) and find the answers themselves and then the answers were checked by the teachers.
On Wednesday the group visited the farm of Saint Bernard in Servoz. The group learned about the history of this particular breed of mountain dog and met some of the puppies at the farm who were very nice and sweet.
