We have had a fantastic start to the season in Chamonix! The resort is now buzzing with seasonaires and tourists descending onto the slopes and into the bars.
What better way is there to spend the evening after a long day in the mountains, than watching some classic ski and snowboard films?
Here are some classic ski films to watch:
Les Bronzés Font du Ski
This 1979 French comedy sequel shows eight tourists reunited for a skiing holiday. It’s a great way to work on your French language and have a good laugh.
Matchstick Productions
Matchstick Productions have long been a film company that has delivered every year amazing ski and snowboard films. If you subscribe on their website, you can unlock their vault and watch treasures from the past such as Claim (2008), Global Storming (1999) and many more!
The Blizzard of AAHHH’S
This film may be over 30 years old but it’s still a great ski movie. It features American ski legends Glen Plake, Mike Hattrup and Scot Schmidt travelling to ski in Chamonix. The movie takes us back to the days of long, thin skis, retro outfits and comes with a rocking eighties soundtrack!
