On Tuesday, our teachers Myriam and Tristan took the Overland group to the Chamonix Alpine Museum and were joined by the local guide and Chamonix history expert, Aline. The students spent an hour looking around the museum with Aline explaining – in French- the history of Chamonix and giving the group a “who’s who” of famous faces from the area. Following the museum tour, the group went into town and were challenged by Aline to find the streets and monuments in town that are named after the historical figures. A lovely day spent practising their French with a mix of Chamonix culture and Alpine History.
